Getting started
Blue Then Red opens straight onto the lawn. Drag back from your ball to aim and set strength, like a slingshot, or tap a spot on the lawn and press Play. Switch on Jump to hop over a blocking ball. The stroke order runs Blue, Red, Black, Yellow, and every ball is contesting the same hoop — the first one through takes the point.
The app works entirely offline. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to. Your matches, ladder position, drill stars and honours are all saved automatically on your device.
Frequently asked questions
How does offside work?
After a point is scored, any ball more than halfway to the next hoop is offside. If it belongs to your opponent, you choose whether to send it to the penalty spot or leave it where it is.
What happens at 6-6?
In a 13-point game, the deciding point is always played at hoop 3, whatever hoop the game would otherwise be on.
Can I play against another person?
Yes — start a Pass & Play match from the New Match sheet on the Lawn screen. Two people share one device, and Blue & Black play against Red & Yellow.
How do I make a crest for my side?
Open Settings from the Lawn menu and tap the crest area. You can choose a photo or take one with the camera; it is turned into a small pixel crest automatically and kept only on your device.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Settings → Reset all progress. This clears your scorebook, ladder position, drill stars, honours, crest and saved articles. It cannot be undone.
Does the app collect any of my data?
No. Blue Then Red has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and makes no network requests. See our privacy policy for the full details.
