In short: Blue Then Red does not collect any personal data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and it makes no network requests. Everything the app remembers stays on your device.
What the app stores, and where
The following information is kept only in local storage on your device (Core Data and standard iOS app settings). None of it ever leaves your device or is sent to us or to anyone else:
- Match results, hoop-by-hoop scores, clearances, jump shots and hoop-run statistics.
- Your position and record on the club ladder.
- Drill stars, your daily-drill streak, and honours you have earned.
- The name you give your side, and a small pixel crest image if you choose to make one.
- Articles you have bookmarked in the Laws & Shots handbook.
- Your app preferences: sound, music and haptics toggles, aim-assist setting, and whether the daily drill reminder is on.
Deleting the app deletes all of this. You can also clear it yourself at any time from Settings → Reset all progress.
Camera and Photo Library
If you choose to make a pixel crest for your side, the app lets you pick a photo from your photo library or take one with the camera, using Apple's standard photo picker. The photo is reduced to a small 16 by 16 pixel image entirely on your device. The original photo is never stored, uploaded or shared — only the tiny pixel crest is kept, and only on your device.
If you choose to save a shared scorecard image, the app asks for permission to add that one image to your photo library.
Notifications
The app can send one optional local reminder each day about that day's shot drill. This notification is scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's local notification system — it does not involve any server of ours, and you are asked for permission only when you switch the reminder on in Settings. You can turn it off at any time, in the app or in the iOS Settings app.
Data we collect
None. We do not operate any backend for this app's gameplay, we do not run analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, we do not show advertising, and we do not track you across apps or websites. There is nothing for us to collect, store or share, because the app has nothing to send us.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no data of any kind from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address, with a new "last updated" date above.
